Welcome to Kep Lodge!

For more information about what to do in Kep please visit the extensive website

The mystic Bokor Hill Station is a kind of its own, being built in the 1920s and abandoned shortly after, leaving only a few ruins on this 1000m high mountain. At the moment Sokimex is building a 36 holes golf course, a 300 bed room hotel, a casino as well as a hospital, at a total cost of 1 billion Dollar! The Road is finally open again (November 2011) and private cars as well as guided tours can drive all the way up to Bokor Mountain. The entry fee of 5$ has been waived by the 'ownner' HE Sok An (Sokimex, Sokah Hotels, Apsara Authority) and a guided tour starting in Kep is around 30$/person.
The 200 bedroom hotel with Casino will finished by May 2012.

The Angkoul Beach, in the 60ties the swimming beach for the rich and famous is now deserted but still very beautiful, with clean white sand, shallow water and about 2km long. You will find a few deckchairs with parasols and a khmer lady selling cold drinks. At the moment there is no food there, so if you go there, take a lunch pack.

Kompong Trach with its limestone caves are an adventure and will you cool down form the heat. There is even a swimming cave with cool, clean water inside the cave. Those who enjoy the beauty of nature cannot fail to appreciate this stunning sight, and should try to make it a priority during their visit. Whilst the area might be famed for its beaches, Kompong Trach offers cooler option for those who enjoy outdoor swimming.

A must while in Kep is for sure to eat in one of the many restaurants at the Crab Market. On weekends Kep is full of Khmers eating the best crabs in Cambodia together with the local pepper, once famous allover the world. Try the Crab Kitchen, Holy Crab or Kimly for a really tasty lunch/dinner.

The Pepper Plantations near Phnom Voir are worth a visit to get some of the black gold. A few hundred meters down the road from the plantation and you will find a lovely new Guest House, The Vine Retreat, a great spot for a cold drink, a really delicious meal (try the Morning Glory) or a swim in their newly built pool.

Trekking around the Kep National Park (8km) with some great viewpoints and a lot of wildlife will for sure fascinate you. The trek can be accessed via a small path just behind our hotel or via the road to Veranda Resort (for motorbikes or bicycles). The trek has many signs so it can be done easily by yourself. Christian from the Led Zep cafe has recently done two more small treks, one to the Samathi (Vipassana Pagoda) and the other one to the water reservoir. Both treks are easy to do with flip flops and have plenty of signs, so you won'tget lost.
If you like we can organize you a guide.

Or if you like to swim under a waterfall, the Tekchhou rapids near Kampot, with cristal clear mountain water, surrounded by tropical rain forest. Plenty of food stalls will make sure that nobody leaves hungry. Try the garlic and honey chicken.

The provincial capital Kampot, 30min away from Kep is full with old colonial buildings, a wide range of restaurants, hotels and a big market as well as good infrastructure (eg. Internet, Banks, bookshops and night clubs).

Our pool with one of the best views in Kep down to the ocean and to Bokor mountain invites to chill out and relax for a day or two.

We are happy to assist you in finding the right activity while staying with us.
